autistic eyes

I have recently heard about this mystique in “the eyes of autistic people” … how people within the spectrum have these mysterious eyes, that is just because in order to look you in the eyes we have to first decide to … where other people do this as a natural occurrence. There is nothing mysterious about watching someone walk with a seeing eye dog, there is nothing mysterious about watching a deaf person use sign language, there should be nothing mysterious about the level of intensity in our vision since we rely on our field of vision to navigate the world. Thus, looking someone in the eyes … is perhaps somewhat difficult because we are relying on our north star to create small talk (for the most part) which is something that we also have to work at. There is nothing mysterious in this world, except the things that we don’t understand and with a little time most things become self-evident.
